How Much Does Apple Music Cost?

Apple Music is a paid music streaming service with no ad-supported free listening plan like Spotify. Apple may offer a free trial to new subscribers, but after the trial the service renews as a paid subscription unless you cancel.

Apple's current U.S. Apple Music prices are:

  • Individual Plan: $10.99 per month after the free trial.
  • Family Plan: $16.99 per month. It can be shared with up to five other people through Family Sharing, so up to six people can use the plan.
  • Student Plan: $5.99 per month for verified students. Apple says student pricing can be used for up to four years while student status remains verified.
  • Apple One: Apple Music can also be included in Apple One bundles. Apple lists Apple One plans as starting at $19.95 per month in the U.S.

New Apple Music subscribers are currently shown a one-month free trial on Apple's U.S. Apple Music page. Apple also advertises a three-month Apple Music offer with eligible new devices, but that offer depends on Apple's terms and device eligibility.

What Is Included?

Apple Music includes access to over 100 million songs, ad-free listening, offline downloads, Spatial Audio, lossless audio, curated playlists, artist content, and support across Apple devices plus Android, Windows, Sonos, smart TVs, and more.

Apple Music Classical is included with Apple Music Student, Individual, Family, and Apple One plans at no extra charge. It is a separate app focused on classical music, but it shares the Apple Music subscription.
