Condensation happens when water vapor changes into liquid water. It often occurs when moist air cools and can no longer hold as much water vapor.
Everyday examples
Water droplets on a cold glass, fog on a mirror, dew on grass, clouds, and fog are all related to condensation. The surface or air temperature helps determine where droplets form.
Condensation and dew point
The dew point is the temperature at which air becomes saturated enough for condensation to begin.
Condensation is the opposite side of evaporation in the water cycle.
