What is a PC?

A PC, which stands for Personal Computer, is a type of computer that you can use at home, school, or work. It’s called “personal” because it’s designed for one person to use at a time. A PC is like a really smart helper that can do lots of things for you, like playing games, writing stories, drawing pictures, or even doing homework.

There are two main types of PCs: desktops and laptops. A desktop PC is bigger and usually stays in one place, like on a desk. It has a separate monitor (the screen), keyboard, and mouse. A laptop PC is smaller and portable, so you can carry it around with you. It has all the parts built into one device, so you can use it anywhere.

Inside a PC, there are different parts that work together to make it run. The brain of the PC is called the CPU (Central Processing Unit), which helps it think and do tasks. There’s also memory, which helps the PC remember things while it’s working, and storage, where all your files, games, and programs are saved.

People use PCs for all kinds of activities. You can use it to browse the internet, watch videos, write emails, and much more. It’s like having a whole world of possibilities right at your fingertips!
